Newsletter March 26

Happy Spring Awakening, dears! ❤

It’s been a long time since I last wrote a newsletter. And yes, I’m not teaching yoga at the moment—I’m dedicating time to my own Yoga and Ayurveda practice, so I can guide you even better after deepening my own experience.

The last month has been a journey of returning. I went back to my old job after a long break, but quickly realized it no longer felt satisfying. So, I decided to change jobs again, and I’ll be starting a new role very soon.

Buuuttt… I will be back! And of course, I can’t wait to share all my knowledge and experiences with you. For those who follow me, I am fully back in my personal practice according to Sivananda Yoga—a classical, holistic Hatha yoga style founded by Swami Vishnudevananda, based on Swami Sivananda’s teachings, focusing on integrating yoga into daily life.

I recently spent time at an Ashram in Germany, living and working there while following the Raja Yoga path—an intense, transformative experience. I’ll share more about this on my IG soon!

As a teacher, it’s so important to maintain our own practice to properly guide you. 😊

Now, spring is slowly arriving in Berlin. Did you know that, according to Ayurveda, many spring allergies arise due to leftover toxins (Amas) in the body? Spring is the perfect time for detox: eat lighter, skip meals occasionally, focus on fresh vegetables, and follow an Ayurvedic diet. I personally also use Ayurvedic remedies to enrich my life and cope with modern stress. (Yes, considering the state of the world, I honestly don’t know how I would manage without yoga!)

And what about your habits?
Every day is a chance to start something new. Today, let’s talk about the tongue: it’s considered a primary diagnostic tool in Ayurveda, reflecting your internal organs, digestive fire, and toxin build-up (Ama). Cleaning your tongue can be a first step toward detoxifying your system. I recommend:

  • Buy a copper tongue scraper
  • Cleanse your mouth with coconut oil in the morning to remove toxins
  • Sip some warm water afterward

A small habit can make a huge difference!

What’s next?
I’m working on collaborations with a few Indian doctors, practitioners, and business partners—so be prepared for some exciting new things. I’m also expanding the educational content on my IG account, so more information and inspiration is coming your way.

Additionally, I plan to host a workshop in Berlin—or online—combining Yoga & Ayurveda. And yes, my singing bowls are still ready to resonate with you! I hope to drop an online class soon and see some familiar faces.

Keep in touch, stay tuned, and start NOW.

“Now is all we have”—this might be my new mantra.
